Martha Johnson, Licensed Massage Therapist

      Pfrimmer Therapist

Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® is a detailed sries of cross-fiber strokes that release adherent tissues, repair damaged muscles, restore structural alignment and open up blood and lymph circulation to the cells. PDMT was developed by Therese Pfrimmer after her legs became paralyzed. She was told that her nerves were damaged and deteriorating and that she would never walk again. This didn't agree with what she already knew about muscles, and she began manipulating her legs very deeply. She was able to walk on her own again after three months of this treatment. She was so excited with the results that she worked to see if she could help others using the same technique.

Pfrimmer works by restoring circulation. It causes changes at the cellular level - both to the muscle involved and to any soft tissue that may have been affected. Where muscles have become "dry" Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy brings lymphatic fluid toward the muscles. This acts as the liquid medium required for osmosis and cellular exchange on the capillary level. PDMT relieves entrapped nerves and aids in moving out toxins and congestion that may have accumulated in damaged muscle and soft tissue, thereby reducing edema and inflammation, as well as pain. It promotes detoxification on a cellular level, thus improving cellular function. It softens hard, fibrous muscle which may be restricting joint range-of-motion and "throwing off" the body's proper structural alignment.

Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy has been shown to aid in:

ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), Arthritis, Bell's Palsy, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Constipation & Digestive Distress, Fibromyalgia Syndrome, Headaches, Heart Problems, Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Paralysis, Parkinson's Disease, Polio, Sciatic Pain, Scoliosis, Tendonitis & Bursitis, and more!

Steven Newlin,Licensed Massage Therapist

Tuina (tway naw) is an Oriental Bodywork Therapy that has been used in China for 2,000 years. It uses the traditional Chinese medical theory of the flow of Qi through the meridins as its basic therapeutic orientation. Tuina has a variety of different systems that emphasize particular aspects of the therapeutic principles. The main schools in China include: the rolling method school, which emphasizes soft tissue techniques and specializes in joint injuries and muscle sprains; the one finger pushing method school which emphasizes techniques for acupressure and the treatment of internal diseases; and the Nei Gung method school which emphasizes the use of Nei Gong Qi energy generation exercises and specific massage methods for revitalizing depleted energy systems.

In a typical session the client, wearing loose clothing and no shoes, lies on a table or sits on a stool. The practitioner examines the specific problems of the client and begins to apply a specific treatment protocol. The major focus of application is upon specific pain sites, acupressure points, energy meridians, and muscles and joints. Some Tuina practitioners may also use Chinese herbs to facilitate quicker healing.

Sessions last from 30-60 minutes. Clients may return for additional treatments depending on their specific problems. Clients usually feel relaxed, but energized, by the treatment.

Lisa Segall, Energy Practitioner

I integrate energy therapy with wellness consulting to help people relax, balance and heal. The energy therapies I utilize are Reiki and Healing Touch.

I’m very passionate about helping others heal because I know what it’s like to be stressed, tired and in pain. I used to have fibromyalgia, migraines and a host of other health challenges. Once I took control of my health, I was able to leave those illnesses in the past. Now it’s time to use my knowledge and experience to help others like you heal. I look forward to helping you on your journey of healing.

Balancing the energy in your mind, body & spirit is how we achieve wellness. Energy therapy, also known as energy healing, energy work or energy medicine is bodywork in which practitioners use their hands to balance and enhance the physical, mental & emotional well-being of their clients.

Stress, toxins, poor nutrition and injuries disrupt the natural flow of the body’s energy resulting in pain, fatigue, illness and disease. Energy therapy restores balance and facilitates your body’s natural healing process. It brings harmony to mind, body & spirit and is an integrative way to relax, balance and heal. Energy therapy allows everyone – infants to elderly and healthy to terminally ill - to benefit from the restorative effects. It works well in conjunction with all other therapies.

With Reiki the laying on of hands technique supports the body’s natural ability to relax, recharge and heal. Sessions are done fully clothed on a table and can be done with light touch or no touch at all.

Healing Touch was created by a nurse in 1989 as a tool for healthcare professionals and others. It is endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association. This medically-based energy therapy helps restore balance and harmony in the energy system, supporting the natural healing process.  (www.lisasegall.com)
